Who are we?

At Can Costa Rural, we specialize in autism-friendly holidays in Catalonia Spain, providing a serene environment tailored for families with autistic children.

We’re a British family of four living in beautiful Catalonia, Spain. Our youngest daughter is on the autism spectrum, so we understand the unique challenges that come with finding a relaxing, autism-friendly holiday. That’s why we created a space where other families like ours can unwind and reconnect.

What is our story?

After moving to Catalonia in the summer of 2002, we settled in a traditional Catalan farmhouse near Caldes de Malavella.

In 2014, following a stressful holiday in France, we were inspired to create a welcoming, understanding retreat for families living with autism – just like ours – and offer them the best autism-friendly holidays in Catalonia Spain.

From 2014 to 2019, we welcomed many wonderful families to our original home, Can Costa. Although the pandemic forced us to close temporarily, our passion never faded. In 2022, we relocated to a new property – Mas Feliu, a lovingly restored farmhouse featuring two autism-friendly holiday rentals in the tranquil Catalan countryside.

Where are we now?

Now living in a converted barn attached to the main house, we re-opened our doors in Summer 2024. We’re excited to offer inclusive, autism-friendly holidays in Catalonia Spain once again, helping families enjoy meaningful, restful time together.
